Here's my ranking for this week:
1. Kent. Both of his dances were outstanding, and they were in two very different styles, and required two very different performances. The contemporary routine was the best serious, "non-Kent" performance I've seen from him. I especially loved the athleticism of the Broadway dance.
2. Lauren. The Tahitian thing didn't seem to demand a whole lot from her, but she did it very well. (Well, as far as I can tell. And it was probably one hell of a workout for her abs. :) ) That jive with Billy? Wow. Her energy, athleticism, and control blew me away.
3. Billy. This week's most improved. This was the first time I've seen him relax, enjoy himself, and really connect with his partners. Suddenly, he's competitive again. My only criticism is that his movements in the jive seemed a little too big on occasion, like he was on the verge of losing control.
4. Robert. Yes, the contemporary routine was his best of the season, and the most moving piece of choreography of the night. But I have to agree with Mia - disco needs a certain amount of macho, and Robert just doesn't have that.
5. AdeChike. He's still very good - some of his moves in the contemporary routine with Kent were jaw-dropping. Ranking him here just shows how strong everyone else was this week.
6. Jose. One great dance, and the worst dance of the night. That's not enough now. If Ashley's injury doesn't knock her out for the season, he deserves to go home.
