    Time Event
    10:32a
    Confusion
'Twas a good, good con. Quick highlights:

    - The parties, of course. Lots of interesting people and friendly conversation, and [info]tarkrai and < lj user="katyhh"> enjoyed the wedding reception tremendously. Lots of work, and not something I'm planning to do again any time soon, but definitely worth it this once. Many thanks to Rene, Steve B., Aimee, Chris, Jenna, the GT folks, and anyone I may have forgotten who helped with setup and cleanup.

    - Conversations with [info]jenhoyer, [info]beamjockey, Bruce Schneier, Karen Cooper, and many, many others.

    - What little I saw of the Friday night sing.

    - Finding out that the Borders Express at the nearby mall was having a going out of business sale, with every book in the store at 40% off. I kept it small - seven books.

    - A crowded Saturday dinner in the hotel bar with Chris, Becca, Steve, Tom, Tara, Tom, Leslie, and Aimee. (I think that's everyone.)

    - Relaxing in the whirlpool at 1 AM Saturday. The 24-hour pool and whirlpool is one of 'Fusion's nicest features.

    - Getting my pirate ribbon by telling the Traveling Pirate Party a bad pirate joke they hadn't heard before. (Who designed the pirate's house? An arrrrchitect.) (Hey, I said it was a bad joke, didn't I?)

    Theater news
Last week, Ann Arbor Civic Theatre chose the shows for their 2007-2008 season, out of a group of proposals submitted by directors. I was told that they liked my proposal (for a small musical called Lucky Stiff), and the vote was close, but it didn't quite make the cut. They encouraged me to resubmit next year, which means I have a pretty good shot at directing the show in the 2008-2009 season. That's cool with me.

The shows selected for 2007-2008 can be found here.
