How to start the day
So I open up my LJ Friends page this morning.

And I find this. And this. And this. And this. And this. And this.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, all of you. What a great way to start my 52nd year.

I am a rich, rich, man.

(Since I had to work today, Sharon decided to move my celebration up to Saturday. She gifted me with a cake, a bunch of neat add-ons for my digital camera, and a card that plays accordian music. :) )

Btw, I'm very intrigued by the film you're in. I watched the trailer and it really looks like something I'd enjoy immensely. When will it be available?

Glad you liked the trailer, thanks. No distribution is currently in place. This was made locally, on absolutely no budget. The plan is to submit it to various film festivals. The hope is that someone from a distribution company will see it at a festival, like it, and buy it to distribute. At which point, the cast and crew get paid. :) (This is actually a pretty common approach.)

Absolutely. I just did a bunch of shopping for the Macdonald/Droge wedding reception that will take place Saturday afternoon, and the Dorsai party that will follow Saturday evening.

And a happy birthday to you, too. I sometimes find it hard to believe just how many of us are over 50 now -- but I guess it's inevitable, and certainly far, far better than the alternative! I hope to see you considerably sooner than I'm actually likely to....
