Hoping to be wrong
In October, talking with friends, I said that I believed there was a non-zero chance that the Bush administration would take military action against Iran before January, ir the Democrats won the House. Obviously, that didn't happen. But what I forgot to take into account is that the Bush White House considers Congress irrelevant anyway.

So is an attack against Iran on the horizon? Some believe so.

Bush is insane. That's all there is to it. The pathology is there, on display, and has even been informally diagnosed by a number of clinicians, most of whom print their opinions with an obvious tone of being at least deeply worried and at most scared out of their minds.

I thought that attacking Iran was the reason we went into Irag, so that we would have Iraq surrounded (we were already in Afghanistan). Who knows what the cornered dogs running our military might try now....
